A (SPECTACULAR!) FIRST YEAR IN REVIEW
In 2021, we at The Millinger Group, along with Dream Big Darling, conceived and prepared to execute the FLOurish Scholarship Program.
We were excited to offer real value to emerging female leaders in wine and spirits through a uniquely personalized assessment and one-on-one coaching program.
Rona decided to generously fund 5 scholarships (valued at $4,000 each), so the program would be completely free for the selected participants.
June Launch
We launched our announcement and opened up our application process simultaneously, primarily through social media, including a video discussion between The Millinger Group’s founder, Rona Millinger, and Dream Big Darling’s founder, Amanda Wittstrom-Higgins.
To our delight, we received over two dozen extremely qualified and diverse applicants – representing different countries, segments of the industry, and demographics – all which made selecting only 5 winners extremely difficult.
August: Mast-Jägermeister US Delivers a HUGE Donation
In the summer of 2021, Mast-Jägermeister US announced that they will invest $340,000 over the next six years to bolster FLOurish. This investment allowed us to award 10 more scholarships during our inaugural launch year – increasing our inaugural group to 15 participants!
Through the contribution of Mast-Jägermeister US, an additional 85 women will benefit from this program.
We are so grateful to Mast-Jägermeister US for their tremendous contribution to our scholarship program and look forward to their participation in FLOurish for years to come!
October: Wine Enthusiast Nominates FLOurish for an Award
December: Meeting the Meisters!
Our participants enjoyed participating in virtual mentoring panels and meeting influencers in the industry who spoke about their career journeys, offered industry insights, and answered questions.
Following these discussions, participants had quality time to network amongst themselves.
